Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule

The official list below shows reserved time periods - not exams that have been confirmed. Check with your instructor if the course will have its final exam during this period.

Before registering, make sure to read the Goethe exam guidelines and the terms and conditions on each exam page. Make sure you register for the appropriate level of exam.

Locations

The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification exams. Check out the individual exam pages for additional guidelines, terms and conditions and exam information. If you require special accommodations due to a chronic illness or visual or hearing impairment, contact the exam provider directly and make sure to provide detailed documentation at the time of registration.

Faculty can find their exam times via the "View My Teaching Schedule" task on the Faculty Dashboard in Workday. The Registrar's Office also has a list of exam times for the classes that must have an exam by NYSED regulations. For evening classes final exams are scheduled at the regular class meeting time during the week of the exam.

Registration

Students are encouraged to consult the exam schedule online. However, it is important to note that the final exam schedule may alter at any moment. Therefore, students should check with their instructors to ensure that they have the correct date and time for their test. Students should also be certain to print the official list and bring it to their exam.

In addition to the exam schedule, students should familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines and conditions and terms. These are available on the individual exam page. Students acknowledge they have read and agreed to the terms and conditions upon registration.

Exam locations try their best to accommodate participants with special requirements. The nature and severity of these needs must be declared on the registration form and verified by an attestation of a doctor. The exam locations must also be able to respect confidentiality and keep it.

If a student is scheduled to take three exams scheduled on the same day, it is recommended that they contact their department or instructor to arrange a make-up exam. While it is possible to take three exams in one day, it can result in high stress levels and could affect the quality of the exam. In addition, the professor might not be able give a makeup exam on another day.

Before taking the exam Students must prepare for the exam by reviewing their course material and practicing their German skills. The test is a paper-based test that assesses the ability to read, speak and write in German. The examination results are presented on a scale from A1 to C2. Students who pass the exam are awarded a Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate certifies the achievement of language level A1. This level is the first stage of the six-level scale of competence outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages.  jazda skuterem  is free of charge. Students should bring a valid government-issued ID to the test. Students who do not have a valid picture identification will be disqualified.

Fees

If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to obtain a Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you'll need to pay the examination fee. This fee is in addition the course fee.

Practice tests give you an overview of the style of the questions, their wording and the level of questions on the test. They allow you to assess your knowledge level, find gaps in knowledge and improve your chances of passing the test.

Please note that the examination fee is not refundable. Exam results are only electronically sent, not via phone.
